1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the All Sitters platform ("we", "us", "our"). By using our website or app, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before registering or booking any service.
2. Our Role
All Sitters acts as a **digital marketplace** connecting clients and independent sitters. We facilitate background checks, bookings, payments (including escrow), and communication. However, sitters are not employees or agents of All Sitters — they operate independently.
3. Safety & Responsibility
We take safety extremely seriously and apply multiple layers of verification, including identity and police clearance for sitters. Despite these precautions, there are inherent risks in any in-person service. While we strive to ensure trust and safety, All Sitters cannot guarantee the conduct of any user, sitter, or third party.
By using our platform, you acknowledge and accept that risk, and agree that All Sitters is not liable for any damages, losses, or disputes arising from sitter–client interactions.
4. Payments & Escrow
Payments are processed securely via **Paystack** or supported cryptocurrencies (XLM, XRP, and Solana). All Sitters uses an **escrow system** to hold funds until the service is completed to ensure fairness and accountability for both parties. Our service fee and applicable VAT or network fees are included in the total booking price.
Crypto transactions are verified on-chain and are subject to network confirmation times and fees.
5. Sitter Requirements
- All sitters must be over 18 years old.
- All sitters must provide valid identification and a police clearance certificate.
- Sitters are responsible for maintaining professional conduct and reliability.
- Violation of trust or fraudulent behavior will result in immediate removal from the platform.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Refunds are managed through the escrow system. Clients may request a refund prior to sitter confirmation. Once a job is in progress, refunds may only be issued in verified dispute cases, reviewed by All Sitters support.
7. Privacy & Data Protection
We comply fully with POPIA, GDPR, and ISO 27001 security standards. Your data is encrypted, used only for legitimate platform purposes, and never sold to third parties. Please read our Privacy Policy for details.
8. Platform Conduct
Users agree not to misuse the platform, engage in harassment, discrimination, or fraudulent activities. All Sitters reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, All Sitters and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of income, data, or personal injury, arising from your use of the platform.
We will always do our best to create a safe, reliable environment — but we cannot control every individual’s actions.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in law, policy, or platform features. Updates will be posted on this page with the latest effective date.

11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be handled through mediation before legal escalation, where possible.
